About Florida Actors

Original founder Kitania Kavey being interviewed for Florida Models and Florida Actors on a newscast. Florida-Actors.com was founded in 1999, as a offshoot of Florida-Models.com. There was a need for a separate site providing useful, informative acting information for the Florida area.

Both this site and Florida-Models.com remain free resources for our users, and are still being supported by advertising dollars only.

On September 24, 2012, Florida Actors officially changed ownership, becoming an Independent Acting site. Our new web site editor is C. A. Passinault, the industry professional behind Independent Acting, Independent Modeling, Tampa Bay Modeling, and Frontier Pop. C. A. Passinault learned much of what he knows from the original owners of Florida Actors, and took over the site with their blessing. C. A. Passinault is an experienced actor and casting director, as well as a talent scam expert with a proven track record of fighting scams.

Although our editorial and advertising policies are more strict now, this web site will continue on in the original spirit, and for all intents is the same site, but with enhancements and new technologies. This section is in an emulated archive section, preserving the original site as much as possible. More information will be available upon the launch of the new Florida Actors Athena Class web site in 2013.
